Dr. Prokos's research interests focus on social inequality, emphasizing gendered inequalities in employment and the work/family interface. She is coauthor of The Interview: From Formal to Postmodern (Left Coast Press), and is currently working on research that explores trends in employer-provided health insurance coverage. Her other projects include examinations of work-hour preference, family structure and economic well-being, and gender inequality in science and technology occupations.
