Description of Suppressor Relationships
The graphic depicts three concepts: academic achievement, boredom, and job performance. The causal path from academic achievement is a positive relationship. The causal path from boredom to job performance is a negative relationship. The causal path from academic achievement to job performance is a zero relationship (i.e., the effect is "washed out" by the other two causal relationships).
