Description of the Hoopla Graphic
This graphic depicts an X-axis (selected months from 1995 to 2000) and a Y-axis (number of newspaper articles regarding gmo's). In the Pre-hoopla stage (January, 1995 to March, 1999), fewer than 10 articles appear per month. In the Hoopla stage (March, 1999 to June, 2000), as many as 100 articles appear per month. In the Post-hoopla stage (June, 2000 to July, 2000), approximately 30 articles appear per month.
