Sociology 235: List of Films

The films we will watch in class can be rough to endure.  Oftentimes we will hear raw language and always we will be touching on emotion-laden topics such as rape, murder, child abuse, and so on.  I edit films for nudity or strong sexual content.  I cannot, however, edit them for rough language or first-person accounts of being victims of crimes.  We will hear, for example, tales of being raped, being abused, and committing murder.  If you want to be excused from watching some or all of these films please let me know.  I can provide you with alternative assignments as substitutes for watching them.
