The Community Development - Data Information and Analysis Laboratory (CD-DIAL) is a training and technical assistance unit located in Sociology Extension at Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa. Hours of operation are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm weekdays. Staff is available for evening meetings.

ReCAP- Regional Capacity Analysis Program
The Regional Capacity Analysis Program (ReCAP) provides information and outreach services to communities.

We focus on issues related to regional economic and demographic change. Our services are designed to to inform local decision-making, policy development, and strategic planning processes. ReCAP's services include the following:

  • Information Resources

  • Research Services

  • Community Education

  • Community Development Assistance

ReCAP is administered by the Departments of Economics and Sociology and Extension Community and Economic Development.
