EvaluationStudents will be evaluated on five components that include: Attendance is an important part of the learning process, and attendance will be taken at every class period. To facilitate taking attendance, students will be assigned seating. If you need special accommodations, please talk to Dr. Lasley. Participation is the second component. Simply attending class is not sufficient. Students are expected to complete the readings, and be prepared to discuss the readings in class. Thoughtful questions and comments will be recorded and used to assess class participation. Term paper on agricultural ethics. Because this course fulfils the ethics requirement in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, each student will be expected to write a short term paper dealing with some aspect of ethics in agriculture or rural life. More details will be provided in class Class exams. There will be two in-class exams that will assess student understanding and competence of the subject matter. Final exam. At the scheduled period during finals week, a comprehensive final exam will be given. All students are required to take the final exam. |
