Divinity B. O'Connor DLR-Roberts

Divinity is a second year Ph.D. student specializing in Social change and
development and Theory. Originally from Chicago, she received a B.A. and M.A.
from ISU in Anthropology and chose to stay at ISU to further her research
agenda in Sociology.
Her background includes a focus on law reform, gender and family issues in
North Africa. She even traveled to Russia as a FFA-WEA delegate in high
school. Having traveled internationally as well for research, she plans to
return to Morocco to continue her research for her dissertation.
She presented at the ESA (European Sociological Association) International
conference in Glasgow, Scotland in 2007, and will be traveling to Dubai, UAE
this February to present at the SSRC {Social Science Research Council)
International Conference on Inter-Asian Connections.
