Matt Parker is a second-year Master’s student in Sociology. As a Political Science undergraduate at Iowa State, Matt developed an interest in the fundamental structures, rules and assumptions of governmental organizations. That curiosity quickly expanded to include the full scope of human organizations, which led him to the Department of Sociology. His current research focuses on the interrelations between organizational structure, size, technology and information flows, and their effects on organization members (e.g. on voter turnout or worker autonomy/satisfaction). Matt has served as a teaching assistant for CJ 351: Police and Society, and is currently a TA for Introduction to Sociology.
